We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our Nutrition and Dietetics department at Bedford Hospital. The successful candidate will provide specialist dietetic input for patients with oncology-related conditions.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be responsible for:
- Managing a complex caseload of oncology patients at the Macmillan Primrose unit, endoscopy unit, local hospices, and in the North and Mid Bedfordshire community.
- Attending and contributing to relevant MDT clinics to support patients prior to and post-surgery, prior to, during, and post-chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
- Providing a highly specialist dietetics service to consultant-led outpatient clinics.
Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas. We offer a range of services, including A&E, Obstetrics-led Maternity, and Paediatrics.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in dietetics and HCPC registration.
- Experience in oncology and HEF, with the ability to manage own caseload and supervise dietitians/dietetic assistant practitioners.
- Excellent time management skills and autonomous working ability.
