Import Operations Coordinator

Compass Point Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity for a dedicated Import Operations Coordinator to join a well-established family-run business with a rich history in product storage, handling, and logistics.

This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the seamless importation and distribution of goods. You will collaborate closely with the Import Administration team and report directly to the Office Manager, making prior experience in a similar capacity highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, carriers, and agents to facilitate the import and delivery of containers to designated locations.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and suppliers to keep all stakeholders informed.
  • Utilize the in-house computer system to ensure complete traceability and visibility of shipments.
  • Oversee the accurate and efficient handling of all import procedures and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of import procedures and associated documentation.
  • Experience in logistics, particularly in food storage and handling, is advantageous.
  • Proficient IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Prior administrative experience is a must.
