Junior Swimming Instructor

Position Overview: The role of the Swimming Instruction Assistant is crucial for the effective execution of our aquatic education programs at LeisureSK Limited. These programs not only foster community involvement but also play a significant role in the financial sustainability of our facilities, allowing us to support a variety of other activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teaching team in planning and delivering engaging and educational swimming lessons that adhere to our established curriculum and guidance from recognized governing bodies.
• Support learners at various skill levels, particularly those at the introductory stages, by providing assistance from the water.
• Participate in a developmental pathway aimed at achieving Swim England Level 1 and Level 2 Teaching Qualifications, along with the NRASTC rescue qualification.
• As you progress, you will have the opportunity to conduct intensive courses with guidance and eventually cover existing classes.
• Contribute to maintaining safety standards and cleanliness within the facility, ensuring the well-being of all participants during lessons.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, fostering trust and rapport as a representative of LeisureSK Limited.

Additional Duties:

• Deliver high-quality instruction that aligns with the Swim School's standards and procedures.
• Organize, implement, and assess a structured teaching program based on the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and assessments in the Swim School database.
• Promote a positive image of the Swim School and the company by ensuring all activities are enjoyable and supportive.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.
• Identify students who may benefit from advanced training and performance pathways.
• Uphold exceptional customer service standards, creating a welcoming environment that encourages open communication.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a secure teaching environment for all participants.
• Be knowledgeable about the Pool Safety Operating Procedures.
