Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Lifting division, responsible for managing our nationwide equipment hire operations.

About the Role:

As a General Manager at GAP Group LTD, you will be responsible for managing your own Profit Centre, influencing all aspects of Depot Operations, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business results
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve depot operations, staff recruitment, and equipment purchasing
  • Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a keen eye for business development opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and drive growth
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our operations remain competitive
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Team Leader/Manager role, preferably within the lifting or hire industry
  • Strong understanding of lifting equipment, hire products, and customer bases
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Previous experience in managing profit and loss, with a keen eye for business development opportunities
  • Proficient in MS Office packages, including Excel and Word
  • Full UK Driving Licence
