Lead Endoscopy Nurse

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of evaluating, planning, delivering, and reviewing exceptional Endoscopy care while also taking on a leadership role within the team. Care will be tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient and their Consultant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive care plans for patients undergoing Endoscopy procedures.
- Oversee the team to ensure compliance with safety protocols and the efficient operation of Endoscopy services.
- Foster a collaborative environment with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
- Engage in team activities, including participation in recovery stages, to promote unity and achieve departmental goals.
- Manage departmental resources effectively to maintain high standards of care.
- Contribute to the education and professional development of colleagues.
- Ensure all medical equipment is prepared and functioning correctly prior to use.
- Implement infection control measures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Prepare patients for various invasive procedures and provide immediate care in emergencies.
- Follow supply management protocols as directed by the line manager.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years of experience in Endoscopy nursing.
- Proficient in a variety of Endoscopy procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Strong computer and numerical skills.
- Adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the department.
- Exceptional customer service skills for both patients and Consultants.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
