The individual in this role will be accountable for the comprehensive assessment, strategic planning, delivery, and evaluation of exceptional Endoscopy care. This position also entails leadership responsibilities within the nursing team, ensuring that care is tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient and the directives of the consulting physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing Endoscopy procedures.
- Providing specialized Endoscopy services to medical Consultants.
- Leading the nursing team to ensure compliance with safety protocols and efficient operational procedures.
- Fostering a collaborative environment within the hospital to enhance patient care.
- Engaging in the education and professional development of nursing staff.
- Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patient care standards.
- Ensuring all medical equipment is properly maintained and functional prior to use.
- Implementing infection control measures and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Preparing patients for invasive procedures and providing immediate care when necessary.
- Managing departmental resources effectively and adhering to supply protocols.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years of experience in Endoscopy nursing.
- Proven competence in a variety of Endoscopy procedures.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Proficient in computer skills and numerical analysis.
- Adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the department.
- Excellent customer service skills for both patients and medical Consultants.
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
