Role Overview:

The GBA5 EntServ UK Limited team is seeking a skilled and dedicated ACII Classroom Engineer to join our DXC Defence Training Services team. This role involves building, implementing, and supporting changes within the ACII Classroom environment, as well as providing support to MOD's own support staff when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement changes within the ACII Classroom environment to ensure seamless training experiences for the British Army.
  • Collaborate with MOD's support staff to resolve technical issues and provide expert guidance on Wintel systems.
  • Manage and maintain specialized classroom environments for BOWMAN radio training, Virtual Battlefield Simulation, and other training modules.
  • Oversee a network consisting of around 150 servers and 4500 workstations across 54 MOD sites, with expansion expected in the next 12 months.

Essential Skills:

  • SCCM
  • Wintel experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Citrix, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • Environmental Support to Networks
  • McAfee EPO, Veritas, Hyper-V, VMware
  • Hands-on knowledge of procedures used in installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of IT hardware and software.
  • System roll-out experience

Desirable Skills:

  • HPE Proliant hardware

Security Clearance:

This role requires security clearance. Applicants must be British Citizens who have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.

The DXC Defense Training Services team manages learning and training environments for the British Army. With over 800 classrooms across 54 sites, including mobile and remote capabilities, the team is multi-skilled and highly customer focused.
