Position Overview:

Field Network Engineer
Location: Field Based (Up to 5 days onsite per week)

Contract Type: Fixed Term - 6 Months
Compensation: Competitive Annual Salary + Bonus and Benefits

Role Summary:
As a Field Network Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring robust connectivity. Your responsibilities will include tasks such as fibre splicing and Cat5 cable installation, all crucial for maintaining a reliable network that enhances guest and team satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver field-based technical support to various UK locations.
  • Assist in the installation and certification of fibre and copper structured cabling, including internal and external Cat5, multimode and singlemode fibre.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network issues across both copper and fibre connections.
  • Provide outstanding customer service with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, park managers, and external service providers to achieve project objectives.
  • Offer desk-side technical support for end-user computing, communications, and EPOS devices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:
Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
A comprehensive technical background in copper and fibre installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking principles, ideally within the leisure or hospitality sector.
A valid driving license.

Desirable:
IPAF certification for powered access platforms.
PASMA certification for working at height.
First aid certification.
Experience with EPOS systems.
Familiarity with architectural drawings or plans.
Proficiency in using Fluke DTX/DSX equipment and generating test reports.
