Job Summary

As a Clinical Skills Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the future of nursing across North Cumbria. This is a 37.5 hour post that offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of a sustainable workforce.

Main Duties of the Job

The Clinical Skills Lead will provide education, training, support, and development to staff in line with the agreed training and education priorities set at Care Group and ward/dept. This will involve leading the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning resources and training programmes/events for the back of house areas within the care group.

The role will have a particular emphasis on the development and promotion of clinical skills training, preceptorship, and apprenticeships to ensure staff are able to deliver outstanding care to patients and maintain safe working practices.

The Clinical Skills Lead will design and develop programmes to support newly qualified/new into post professionals transition from student to qualified practitioner and establish support for those completing Care Certificate, staff who are advancing into Band 4 roles and subsequently then into RN posts.
