Weekend Hospitality Assistant

Job Summary: Blue Arrow is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team in a busy warehouse kitchen environment. As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and assisting with food preparation and serving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including washing pots, pans, and utensils, and general food preparation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including serving food at the counter in a canteen environment and working front of house.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including keeping surfaces clean and tidy, clearing tables, and following all health and safety procedures.
- Operate tills and handle customer transactions.
- Work effectively within a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a catering environment, preferably in a warehouse kitchen setting.
- Food and Hygiene Level 1 certification (Blue Arrow can process one for free).
- Own transport (public transport is available, but candidates must ensure they can get to the start and finish times).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and follow direct orders.
