About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Facilities Management Assistant to join our team at the Office for Students. As a key member of our Facilities Management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our campus and buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to staff and visitors, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, including setting up meeting rooms and addressing potential health and safety issues.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from all departments to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of our facilities.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to problem-solve and identify when something needs to be done and react accordingly.
  • Good organisational and IT skills.
  • The ability to prioritise your own tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • A good basic level of numeracy and literacy.
  • The ability to safely assess and move loads (training will be given).

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Facilities Management related qualification.
  • Experience with FreshService or similar customer service ticket management software.
  • Previous health and safety training.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday and Friday. The role is office-based and does not involve remote working.
