Athletic Nutrition Specialist

Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom University of Oxford Full time
Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Athletic Nutrition Specialist to provide exceptional support to teams and athletes as part of the University of Oxford's elite sports performance program.

The Athletic Nutrition Specialist will be tasked with designing, implementing, and evaluating nutrition strategies based on robust scientific principles for both teams and individual athletes.

This role involves collaboration with other professionals within the sports services team and experts from various domains of sports science to deliver a comprehensive athletic development program for Oxford's student athletes.

As a member of the Sports Federation team, you will ensure the highest quality of service to selected University sports teams and individual athletes through the Blues Performance Scheme, which encompasses a range of support services.

Support provided through the Blues Performance Scheme includes strength and conditioning, sports psychology, nutrition guidance, subsidized physiotherapy, and lifestyle coaching, along with additional administrative support from the broader Sports Federation team.

This position will be primarily focused on service delivery, which will involve conducting workshops and one-on-one consultations, and may require evening and irregular hours.

Additional responsibilities will include planning and reviewing nutrition programs, liaising with partner organizations, and performing administrative tasks related to the provision of nutritional support for student athletes.

It is important to note that the workload will increase during academic terms, reflecting the part-time nature of this fixed-term role.
