Job Description: Transportation CoordinatorWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Transportation Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles, and equipment to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain accurate driver and vehicle schedules based on customer requests, operational needs, and predetermined routes.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and driving assistants, relaying work orders, updates, and important information via phone, radio, or text message.
- Collaborate with supervisors and customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare daily work assignments, including schedules, work orders, and other relevant documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive records of work requests, customer interactions, completed tasks, expenses, and inventory levels.
- Facilitate seamless communication within assigned territories to ensure smooth operations.
- One year of experience in the transportation industry is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
