Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

Company: Millbank Holdings Ltd

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to project sites)

Job Type: Contract, 12 months

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £40-45 per hour (outside of IR35 subject to an IR35 assessment)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Millbank Holdings Ltd. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting our project management teams in implementing our company's and project H&S requirements and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project delivery teams in planning and implementation of our H&S Management system, strategy, and objectives.
  • Assist in the development of pre-construction H&S documentation.
  • Provide H&S support and advice to projects to ensure a structured risk-based approach.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections, and ensure these are also undertaken by project management teams and supervision.
  • Facilitate H&S specific training and awareness programs.
Requirements
  • Hold a current NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of providing an excellent Health and Safety service for an organization operating within one or more of the following industries: power generation, nuclear, petrochemical, or utilities.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, professional, and personal presentation skills when liaising with directors, senior managers, clients, external agencies, employees, and subcontractors.
  • Good personal planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent HSE legal knowledge and practical application.
  • Competent in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Professional, personable, and results-focused.
  • High level of employee focus, business pragmatism, and understanding.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum).
  • In-depth knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Experience of development and delivery of HSE training.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (power generation, pharma, process, nuclear, etc).
