About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist/Health Psychologist/Psychotherapist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological support and guidance to clients with diabetes and other long-term conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
- Work closely with psychology, other psychological therapy colleagues, and staff from the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Take responsibility for the governance of psychological practice within the service, ensuring that all interventions are delivered in accordance with best practice and professional standards.
- Provide clinical supervision and support to assistant psychologists and other team members, promoting their professional development and ensuring that they are equipped to deliver high-quality psychological care.
- Contribute to the development of service quality monitoring, clinical audit, and evaluative research, ensuring that our services are evidence-based and effective in improving client outcomes.

Person Specification
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist/Health Psychologist/Psychotherapist who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:
- Doctorate in Health Psychology or equivalent, with registration as a Registered Health Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a Chartered Health Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Postgraduate training in psychotherapy, with accreditation from a recognized professional body.
- Experience of working with clients with diabetes and other long-term conditions, with a strong understanding of the psychological and emotional challenges associated with these conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team of psychologists and other professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our clients and communities.
