About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Lead to join our Enabling Team at Anglian Water Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of landowner engagement, land access, and land acquisition activities across our delivery programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage external land agency activities, including forecasting, costing, and programming, land and interest referencing, access negotiation, and management of legal notices using statutory powers.
  • Provide accurate forecasting on land compensation and acquisitions.
  • Identify and engage with strategic regional landowners to ensure timely and cost-effective approvals.
  • Develop land strategies to support the implementation of nature-based solutions.
  • Enhance landowner sentiment through effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will have extensive experience in negotiating terms for property and land access and acquisitions under statutory powers. You will also have a strong background and demonstrable knowledge of all land rights and interests. MRICS or AssocRICS qualification is highly desirable.

You will be a proactive communicator with excellent digital and referencing skills, able to lead on landowner and occupier engagement and share your expertise across our teams. Your ability to work flexibly across several projects and meet deadlines without supervision is essential.
