Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the finance team and develop their skills and expertise
* Partner with the MD and Owner to drive business growth and strategy
* Perform regular financial analysis and develop budgets that meet company needs
* Supervise audit and internal control processes and prepare detailed financial reports
* Present monthly management accounts to provide clear financial insight and direction
* Ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines
* Recognize patterns in company spending and revenue and recommend solutions
* Manage capital investment requirements and support business departments in tracking new opportunities and projects
* Prepare detailed financial planning, forecasting, and analysis with rolling annual and five-year forecasts
* Liaise with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, accountants, and legal advisors

Requirements:

* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA)
* Experience as a Finance Director or Senior Controller looking for the next step up in career to FD
* Previous experience of preparing a company or taking a company through an exit an advantage, although not essential
* Previous fund raising an advantage although not essential
* Previous experience of working in a product-based sector like Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, or similar essential
* Previous experience of working in an SME environment with a hands-on yet commercial style essential
* Outstanding leadership skills essential
