Job Title: Shop Manager Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shop Manager Assistant to join our team at Fred Perry. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in their absence and take charge of the store as needed.
  • Manage cash handling, banking, and associated administration tasks.
  • Ensure all till operations are carried out in accordance with the Fred Perry operations manual.
  • Support the Store Manager in achieving KPI budgets and communicate targets to staff.
  • Assist with stock control, including receipting transfers, monitoring stock levels, and preparing stock for display.
  • Provide excellent customer service and offer expert advice on our product range.
  • Familiarize yourself with the shop operations manual, personnel, and Health and Safety policies.
  • Communicate KPI results to Head Office and Area Manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements:
  • Experience in retail management is essential.
  • Proven ability to build effective teams and motivate employees.
  • Strong initiative and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of retail concepts, including gross margin, markdowns, and visual merchandising.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to adapt quickly to business needs.
