Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at HC-One. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality in our care homes.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals to our residents. You will work closely with our chefs and kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in food preparation, including meal planning, cooking, and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining food supplies, fridge/freezer temperatures, and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to their dietary needs and preferences
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless meal service
- NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation (or willingness to study for one)
- Excellent record keeping and organizational skills
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards of food quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
