About the Role

As a key member of our Engineering Careers team, you will play a crucial role in driving large-scale improvement projects for our independent manufacturing business. With multiple sites across the UK and over 300 employees, we are looking for a seasoned senior engineering manager to lead our maintenance strategy and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the maintenance strategy, including capital expenditure, engineering projects, and resource planning.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, reviewing processes, procedures, and standards across sites.
  • Take a proactive approach to implementing change while maintaining high standards of safety and quality output.
  • Support cross-functional departments in delivering their objectives and ensuring all necessary housekeeping standards are achieved.
  • Lead the maintenance strategy for planned preventative and reactive maintenance to actively reduce downtime.
  • Have control over the engineering budget, spend, ordering of products, capex projects, and resource planning to meet strict deadlines.
  • Support the delivery of capital and strategic projects.
  • Manage contractors and third-party suppliers while encouraging a safety-first and compliant environment across sites and with third parties.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to be an experienced senior engineering manager with a proven track record of driving improvement projects and leading maintenance strategies. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive change and improve processes.
