About the Role

Mackenzie Jones is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in a hybrid working environment. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in the development of new products for retailers, working closely with the Buying team to manage critical path projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in pitching to retailers for own brand projects, working closely with the Buying team to develop and implement project plans.
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the management of own brand projects on selected retailer accounts, working under the guidance and support of the Buyer.
  • Brief suppliers on new projects, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Ensure familiarity with customer's current ranges and identify potential gaps in range to work on proposals to fill those gaps.
  • Manage samples and develop new products, working closely with the Buying team to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in an administrative/support role, preferably as an Assistant Buyer within a Buying office environment managing a critical path.
  • Experience in retail merchandising is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office in Birmingham.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
  • 25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays.
