Indirect Buyer Role

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Indirect Buyer to join our team. As an Indirect Buyer, you will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, and ensuring the continuity of supply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
  • Manage and benchmark existing suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure contracts and non-disclosure agreements are in place for all suppliers.
  • Work with the Procurement Manager to negotiate renewals and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Manage the savings database to record all cost savings achieved.
  • Complete the monthly self-assessment ASAT tool in a timely manner.
  • Attend daily engineering meetings and other meetings with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Assist the different teams to solve finance and requisitions queries.
  • Support the Procurement Manager in various tasks, including reporting and event preparation.
  • Implement and follow procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions between suppliers and the internal legal team.
  • Perform general administrative duties associated with the running of a procurement office.
Requirements:
  • Experience in indirect purchasing with a manufacturing background.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CIPS qualified or studying towards it.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Good presentation skills.
