The Role

As a Senior Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for providing in-service support to the Royal Navy's fleet of submarines, ensuring the optimal maintenance of submarine weapon systems. You will work closely with the MoD and Waterfront teams to discuss submarine maintenance requirements and provide reactive support to the customer for emergent engineering and programme challenges.

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate engineering risks and issues.
  • Provide expert advice on submarine weapon systems and associated maintenance requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans for submarine maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing in-service support to the Royal Navy's fleet of submarines.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance plans to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate engineering risks and issues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An in-depth knowledge of Combat Systems and a broad knowledge of strategic systems and whole boat engineering requirements.
  • Experience and understanding of Submarine Weapon Systems and associated maintenance requirements.
  • A minimum of HND Foundation Degree with relevant experience.
