Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements for various business entities, including corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships, up to the audit threshold.
  • Preparing personal and corporate tax computations and returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services to clients, including financial analysis and reporting.
  • Filing necessary documents with government agencies, such as Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs, on behalf of clients.
  • Maintaining and updating accounting records for clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing and completing quarterly VAT returns, ensuring timely submission and compliance.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal policies, procedures, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performing general administrative duties to support the Partners, Managers, and office staff.

About You:

  • Experience working at an Accounts Technician or Semi-Senior level in an accountancy practice, preferably with a reputable firm.
  • Previous experience in accounts preparation for various business entities, including corporations and unincorporated businesses.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent, with part-qualified or qualified by experience considered.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Discreet and professional demeanor, with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in general IT applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively and concisely.
