We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join our team at Cummins Meritor. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in electrical maintenance and engineering, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all health and safety standards and regulations
  • Enroll on and complete an Electrical Engineering college learning path
  • Develop problem-solving skills and learn to use a methodical and logical approach to resolve issues
  • Produce high-quality academic and NVQ work within agreed timeframes
  • Learn to interact with and understand PLC systems, ABB Industrial Robot maintenance, and fault finding
  • Develop skills to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and productive work environment
  • Work on a 3-shift pattern in years 3 and 4
  • Collect and analyze data accurately and consider environmental factors when disposing of waste
  • Learn and understand best practices in electrical circuit maintenance

Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs grade C and above, including a B in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language
  • Previous work experience in an industrial Brake Manufacturing environment is desirable
