Job Description

The HR & Payroll Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic framework of our organization, which includes:

  • Providing trusted advice to clients and colleagues;
  • Developing expertise in chosen specialisms;
  • Building longstanding relationships with key clients and internal teams.

This role will also contribute to our collaborative work ethic, embracing individual talent and expertise while ensuring attention to detail and big-picture thinking.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in a similar role;
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • In-depth knowledge of Payroll and relevant legislation and tax;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Computer literacy with strong Excel and Word skills;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
Key Responsibilities

The HR & Payroll Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with Human Resource duties, including providing a confidential, prompt, accurate, and efficient service to staff, the Board, and outside agencies;
  • Maintaining staff records, both computerized and paper filing;
  • Supporting new starter and leaver administration;
  • Supporting the administration of payroll, including salary changes, bonus payments, SMP, enhanced maternity payments, SPL, and SSP;
  • Calculating salary sacrifice for payroll benefits;
  • Completing P11Ds and electronic filing;
  • Administering probationary meetings and salary reviews;
  • Completing the administration process of sickness absence management;
  • Completing the administration for benefits such as YuLife, Westfield, Insurances, and death in service;
  • Producing letters and documents to encompass the whole employee life cycle;
  • Monitoring and responding to the HR mailbox, payroll inbox, and personal inbox;
  • Responding to staff queries or escalating to a member of the HR team where necessary;
  • Maintaining records for long service awards and arranging letters and gifts;
  • Maintaining training records on the HR system;
  • Ensuring the confidentiality of all firm and staff documentation and information;
  • Archiving data or destroying data in line with GDPR and data protection regulations;
  • Undertaking specific training when required and overall responsibility for self-development and further training;
  • Any other reasonable request by members of the Roythornes management team.
