Fluor and Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is seeking a highly skilled SHE and Regulatory Manager to lead the Safety, Health, Environmental, Industrial Quality, Security, and Regulatory requirements for the UK operations.

This role will provide leadership, professional, and specialist technical advice to plants, projects, and UK corporate offices by managing the SHE and Industrial Quality system across all company's UK locations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the functional leadership for external interactions with regulatory bodies such as the HSE, EA, BSI, Koura/Orbia corporate HSE functions to represent the Koura UK position for SHEQ&S reporting, meetings, reviews, audits, inspections, visits, etc.
  2. Maintain oversight, provide necessary direction, and support the process safety management (PSM) and behavioral safety improvement processes across the business by leveraging the strengths and resources within the SHEQ&S team.
  3. Manage, via team, the deliverance of a technical training and competence management system which ensures that technical and operational staff are trained and deemed competent to carry out their role using latest thinking.
  4. Identify, define, and implement the requirements of SHEQ&S policies, standards, processes, and procedures to achieve and maintain world-class SHEQ&S performance.
  5. Monitor and assess potential future Safety, Health, Security, Industrial Quality, and Environmental issues to determine the impact on and/or from future business strategy.
Requirements

A graduate in a chemical/scientific discipline with a NEBOSH diploma would be essential. An established technical background with 10 years' experience in a production or operations environment and a minimum of 3 years in a regulatory position for an upper-tier COMAH site (or equivalent) is required.

Proven experience with management systems including design, implementation, and auditing (ISO 9001/14001/18001 or equivalent) is necessary.
