About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our team at the NSPCC. As a key member of our high-performing team, you will play a crucial role in driving our position as an influential, informed, and powerful voice for change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement robust policy positions and strategies to persuade government, parliamentarians, and statutory partners to act in the best interests of children.
  • Conduct high-quality policy research and analysis to inform our policy work and ensure children are front and centre in public policy debates and decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, parliamentarians, and statutory partners, to advance our policy objectives.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement impactful policy and public affairs campaigns to drive change and improve outcomes for children.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and persuasive skills, with the ability to work on complex subject matter.
  • Excellent understanding of public policy relating to child protection, including children's social care, child sexual abuse, and young victims and witnesses.
  • Experience in delivering impactful policy and public affairs work in at least one area of child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
