Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Solos Consultants Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and performing electrical and functional tests on a variety of spacecraft subsystems, including power, communications, data handling, and system control. They will also be responsible for writing and executing electrical integration procedures to electrically verify and connect equipment during the build of the spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and perform electrical and functional tests on spacecraft subsystems
  • Write and execute electrical integration procedures
  • Interpret electrical, functional, and system test requirements from test specifications
  • Provide test solutions to meet test specification requirements
  • Close out tests with post-test reviews and test reports
  • Support spacecraft systems functional and performance tests during environmental testing
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a degree in an Electrical Engineering related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role
  • Current hands-on experience of writing test sequences/scripts for execution of spacecraft tests
  • Test sequence writing and debugging in a bespoke language
  • Competent in the use of various test equipment used for electrical measurements
  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystem testing
Desirable:
  • Programming and scripting languages, particularly writing and debugging Linux/Unix bash scripts
  • Knowledge of a programming language such as C, Java, Python, TCL, VBA
