Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and/or their associated launcher systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Specifying and determining system electrical requirements and interface definitions and characteristics between subsystems/equipment.
  2. Defining power architecture, including power budget and power profiles.
  3. Data communication and processing architecture requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening.
  4. Signal safety, including routing of safety-related signals.
  5. Supporting test and fault-finding activities during compatibility checks, risk reduction, system proving/qualification, and integration.
  6. Reviewing and authoring reports, guidelines, and processes.
  7. Design assessments and analysis.
  8. Working to defence/industry standards.
  9. Attending and supporting design reviews.

Requirements:

  1. Technical experience required: electrical/electronics interface definitions.
  2. Knowledge of defence/industry standards, etc.
  3. Degree level qualification in a related subject.
  4. Systems engineering writing reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Defence weapon systems.
  2. Power supplies.
  3. Actuators.
  4. Data communication.
  5. Sensors.
  6. EMC.
  7. Health Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS).
  8. Model Based Engineering (MBE).
