Job Title: Design Director

Job Description:

Abatec Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Director to lead a portfolio of projects through the design phase. As a Design Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the buildability and value engineering of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design team, ensuring that they meet clients' requirements and project objectives.
  • Manage the design function, ensuring that design deliverables are produced to allocated key dates.
  • Ensure the organization of design elements, documenting into the Design Management Plan and preparing regular status updates.
  • Attend Programme, project, and technical meetings.
  • Provide support during construction and commissioning stages of work.
  • Ensure that design complies with all Health and Safety codes and legislation.

Requirements:

  • HND/Degree in an engineering-related discipline.
  • Extensive experience working in a multi-disciplinary design environment.
  • Experience of working on major projects within the Water sector, involving both Civil and M&E aspects.
