Information Governance Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and engaging individual to join our Information Governance Department as an Information Governance Officer. This part-time role will be responsible for ensuring that our organization maintains the highest standards of data protection, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage data protection enquiries, subject access requests, and data subject rights requests
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained in highly sensitive situations
  • Work with Heads of Service to influence and guide departmental compliance with information governance legislation
  • Develop and deliver staff awareness programs to promote information governance policies
  • Manage electronic document publication and control systems
  • Work autonomously to tight deadlines and in challenging situations
Requirements:
  • Experience of working within statutory requirements of data protection and UKGDPR legislation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge of IT software products and ability to develop and maintain projects
