Procurement Governance Specialist

Westlakes Recruit is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join their team on a contract basis, located in Reading.
The Role:
This position sits within the Process and Performance Excellence Team, focusing on the Governance that supports procurements, rather than the procurement itself.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing governance frameworks for procurements subject to individual procurement regulations.
- Managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing guidance on governance changes and ensuring stakeholders are aware of their implications.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in governance, particularly in the commercial sector.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Understanding of governance processes within procurement or commercial environments.
Essential Requirements:
- Significant governance experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.
- Ability to implement and manage governance and compliance services for strategic procurements.
- Experience working on complex and high-value procurement projects.
- Information security and governance knowledge.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to support a team and contribute to business change and continuous improvement programs.
Desirable Qualifications:
- PCR 2015 certification.
- CIPS Level 4 qualification.
