About the Role:

Sheldon Phillips Ltd is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker Team Manager to lead its Fostering Team in children's services. With a competitive pay rate of up to £44.50 per hour, this is an excellent opportunity to take on a key leadership role and positively impact the lives of foster carers, children, and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the Fostering Team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to social workers and fostering staff.
  2. Oversee the assessment, approval, and review processes for foster carers to ensure high-quality placements.
  3. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, fostering regulations, and best practice standards.
  4. Work collaboratively with children's services, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
  5. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that foster carers receive ongoing training and development.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified social worker with extensive experience in children's services, particularly in fostering or looked after children.
  2. Social Work England registered.
  3. Proven track record of leadership and team management.
  4. Strong understanding of fostering regulations, child protection, and safeguarding practices.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  6. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while managing complex cases.
