About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team at Asda, where you'll play a key role in transforming our procurement function. As a Category Manager, you'll be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing activities and developing category strategies to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Manage complex contracts and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to influence and drive transformation initiatives.
  • Contribute to our cost and cash programme, leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Drive the procurement transformation, setting new standards and defining the procurement technology roadmap.
What You'll Need
  • Proven experience in Procurement/Category Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in Technology Procurement / Cloud would be desirable.
