Job Description

Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Specialist Support

Job Type: Full-time and part-time

Location: Various schools in Haringey

Job Description:

We are seeking a confident and proactive Psychology Graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant in our schools. As a specialist teaching assistant, you will be working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis during the school day, providing support to pupils with identified behaviour, SEMH, SEN including ASD needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with pupils in the classroom, in specialist mentoring sessions, and during break times
  • Provide support to pupils with identified behaviour, SEMH, SEN including ASD needs
  • Work closely with the schools SENCO and senior management team, as well as outside agencies including therapists and healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement suitable interventions and approaches to support pupils with challenging behaviour

Requirements:

  • Psychology Graduate degree
  • Experience in CAMHS / child mental health services
  • Passion for supporting children with SEND / SEMH needs
