An overview of the position.

The Transport Administrator will proficiently oversee the daily operations of the Depot by managing vehicle assignments and basic routing to guarantee exceptional service delivery to clients, while upholding health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance with environmental standards and operating licenses. This role supports employee engagement and fosters continuous improvements in productivity and service quality.

  • Overseeing driver availability and compliance with regulations and company policies to ensure consistent coverage.
  • Handling administrative responsibilities, including the accurate input of payroll and disposal data into company systems.
  • Proactively managing vehicle operations, coordinating with fleet management, ensuring safe vehicle practices, and monitoring weight compliance.
  • Supervising daily vehicle readiness, ensuring drivers complete necessary checks as per company guidelines.
  • Contributing to cost management efforts by seeking ways to enhance efficiency and minimize operational expenses, such as analyzing Depot reports.
  • Ensuring all administrative tasks related to the Dispatch office are executed, including timesheets, tachograph records, payroll documentation, and holiday schedules.
  • Collaborating with the Depot Manager to ensure mandatory training, onboarding, and safety briefings are conducted according to company standards.
