**Position: Logistics Planner**

**Location: Gretna Green**

**Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm**

**Salary: Starting at £27,000**

**About Us**:
CRS are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Logistics/Transport assistant to join a team in Gretna Green. Reporting to the General Manager, the Logistics planner will play a vital role in our fast-paced production setting.

**Position Overview**:
As a Logistics Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including weighing lorries in, producing weighbridge tickets, answering phones, invoicing, liaising with drivers, dispatch planning, general phone duties, purchase orders, and invoicing. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Weighing lorries in and producing accurate weighbridge tickets.
- Answering incoming calls and providing excellent customer service to drivers and clients.
- Managing invoicing processes efficiently and accurately.
- Liaising with drivers to coordinate schedules and address any issues that may arise.
- Planning and scheduling dispatch operations to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
- Handling general phone duties such as transferring calls and taking messages.
- Generating purchase orders and managing invoicing procedures in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a logistics or transportation role is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in basic computer software and willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
