Role of the Senior Financial Analyst:

This pivotal position is part of the Travelport Controllership team, which oversees external reporting, technical accounting, and the establishment of accounting policies for the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Reporting, this role is crucial in enhancing the precision and quality of our global accounting practices. Additionally, there will be opportunities to engage in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, refinancing, and restructuring, as well as contributing to the preparation of the Group financial statements and statutory accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and critically assess monthly management accounts for all legal entities.
  • Enhance balance sheet reconciliations through a structured review process, providing insights and reporting findings to the Finance Leadership Team.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects aimed at improving controls or resolving accounting challenges identified through reviews.
  • Prepare and review specific statutory accounts in compliance with UK regulations.
  • Support corporate initiatives such as restructuring, refinancing transactions, and acquisitions or disposals.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Chartered Accountant and/or Certified Public Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in either practice or industry.
  • Experience in auditing or working within a large, complex international organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in the review or preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Confident and resilient in a dynamic work environment.
