We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Management Accountant to join our team at RES, the world's largest independent renewable energy company. As a Junior Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering financial support services under Management Service Agreements (MSAs) across multiple clients owning renewable assets under management.
Job PurposeThe UK & I Asset Management department is a growing team that provides financial support services to clients owning renewable assets. The team is responsible for delivering financial services, including monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, distribution calculations, annual budget preparation, bank loan compliance, financial statement preparation, and audit process management.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts, including journal postings, and ensure timely delivery to clients.
- Manage and deliver cash flow forecasts by liaising with internal asset managers and clients.
- Oversee debtor management for entities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare periodic financial reporting and variance to budget analysis for internal and external clients.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit for SPV companies in IFRS, FRS 102, or UK GAAP.
- Assist with onboarding new projects into the asset management portfolio.
- Support continuous improvements to accounting and reporting processes.
- Support regular queries from the operational business.
- Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of management and statutory accounting.
- Experience in producing detailed management accounts and excellent Excel skills.
- Excellent technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
- Quick learner with a proactive attitude and ability to work autonomously.
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate with external parties and non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
