About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Sense, a leading charity that supports people with complex disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with sensory impairments and learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with complex needs, including daily living tasks, personal hygiene, and medication management.
  • Assist with everyday tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and finances.
  • Support individuals to participate in community activities, such as shopping and social events.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their independence and well-being.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and a can-do approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
  • Full UK driving license and use of own vehicle (desirable).
  • Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments and learning difficulties (desirable).
