Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to become a vital part of our team.

Business Area: Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks – Major Projects
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume comprehensive commercial oversight for substantial and intricate subcontract packages related to ongoing construction projects, from initial tendering through to final account settlement.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including the processing of payments, securing final account agreements, and addressing any disputes through negotiation, while closely monitoring accounts against budget and schedule forecasts.
  • Prepare accurate monthly cost/value reports for project work packages, collaborating with project team members to review outcomes and identify trends.
  • Optimize cash flow by ensuring timely receipt and disbursement of payments, and manage the preparation of payment applications in accordance with contract stipulations.
  • Oversee change management and risk assessment processes within work packages, providing support to the broader project commercial team with necessary contract notifications.
  • Contribute to the development of monthly and quarterly reports, offering commercial insights and forecasts on financial and contractual performance to the management team, while striving to exceed business objectives and project KPIs.

Candidate Profile:

This Senior Quantity Surveyor role is ideal for individuals who:

  • Hold a degree or possess equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Have a solid understanding and practical experience with ECC NEC4 contracts.
  • Exhibit strong IT capabilities, particularly in MS Office, with a focus on Excel.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
