Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Sustainability Project Manager. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the financial health of our organization and contribute to our mission of growing churches at the heart of every community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop a Financial Sustainability Strategy: Build on existing work to create a comprehensive strategy for financial sustainability, focusing on giving and generosity.
  • Project Planning and Management: Create a project plan and resource requirements for the delivery of the strategy, including people resources.
  • Engagement and Collaboration: Develop an approach to engage parishes and oversight areas, working closely with the Project Management Office to ensure plans are integrated into our overall strategic plan.
  • Delivery and Implementation: Deliver the project in line with the project plan and budget, working with HR to recruit the team and provide line management as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Create a stakeholder management plan and ensure good relationships and engagement with all stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Highly numerate and logical with an understanding of financial principles and their application to a medium-sized complex charity.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management, with good knowledge and experience in using project tools.
  • Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present credibly to stakeholders.
  • Theological Understanding: An understanding of generosity and giving as a key part of Christian discipleship, and how these are informed by theology across different traditions and scripture.
Personal Qualities
  • Strong Influencing Skills: Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Working Arrangements

The post-holder will be employed by the Diocesan Board of Finance for a fixed term of three years. Salary and pension details are available upon request.
