Job Title: Sustainability Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Project Manager to join our team at the Church of England Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a financial sustainability strategy to support the growth and development of our churches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive financial sustainability strategy to ensure the long-term viability of our churches.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the diocese to identify and address financial challenges and opportunities.
  • Design and implement a project plan to deliver the financial sustainability strategy, including resource allocation and budgeting.
  • Build strong relationships with clergy, staff, and parish teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the financial sustainability strategy and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Highly numerate and logical with an understanding of financial principles and their application to a medium-sized complex charity.
  • Proven project management experience with a strong track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership working.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex financial challenges.
