Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of products in the machine shop to ensure they meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Calibrate and validate monitoring and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Liaise with the engineering team to clarify inspection and testing requirements, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Support the production team with in-process inspection, providing guidance and expertise to ensure high-quality products.
- Maintain product traceability and compliance to required standards, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming parts, reporting any issues to the relevant teams for prompt resolution.
- Contribute to quality-led improvement initiatives, driving process improvements and enhancing overall quality performance.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a quality control role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Competent in manual inspection processes using equipment such as tapes, rules, micrometers, verniers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.
- Ability to write clear and concise inspection reports and work with both metric and imperial units as required.
- Ability to operate and program CMM (Aberlink software with CAD desirable), FARO Arm (Faro 10 Software with CAD desirable), and Polyworks (Polyworks Software with CAD desirable).
- Ability to use paint thickness and gloss level instruments (desirable).
- This role may evolve into an off-line programming position.
