Role Overview:
Are you meticulous, efficient, and enthusiastic about inventory oversight? As a Stock Clerk at 8Bits, your responsibilities will include managing stock levels, ensuring precise inventory counts, and maintaining an organized store environment. Your contributions will be essential in bolstering our store's operational effectiveness and improving the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, examine, and unpack incoming stock shipments, confirming accuracy and quality.
- Organize and store products in the stockroom and on the sales floor in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain precise inventory records and monitor stock levels to guarantee product availability.
- Assist with restocking on the sales floor, including replenishing shelves and managing product displays.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to reorder stock as necessary and address any stock discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock audits and support inventory management processes.
- Ensure the stockroom is tidy, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Assist the sales team by providing accurate stock information and addressing stock-related inquiries.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding inventory management, safety, and security.
- Support seasonal and promotional stock adjustments as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience as a stock clerk, stockroom assistant, or in a comparable role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
- Proficiency in utilizing inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative attitude.
- A proactive and self-driven approach with a robust work ethic.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A passion for retail and the entertainment sector.
