Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom Cygnet Health Care Full time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant who is passionate about providing exceptional support in the healthcare sector.

This role involves full-time commitment, working 42 hours per week with 12-hour shifts, including weekends, to positively impact the lives of individuals receiving our care.

The service specializes in offering tailored support for adults with learning disabilities, who may exhibit challenging behaviors and have complex needs within their own living spaces. Each individual has the opportunity to maintain their own tenancy agreement with a Registered Housing Provider. Many of those we support may have transitioned from hospital settings and are now ready for community reintegration. We deliver specialized assessments and interventions to manage and mitigate high-risk behaviors for individuals moving from secure or long-term care environments.

At Cygnet, we provide benefits that extend beyond standard pension plans and professional development opportunities. Enjoy discounts through our NHS blue light card, a rewards program offering savings on grocery shopping, private health cash plans, and confidential mental health support, all designed to enhance your well-being both at work and in your personal life.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Delivering enhanced care with a flexible approach tailored to the needs of those in our care
  • Offering guidance and encouragement through both physical and emotional support
  • Understanding individual needs and providing assistance in the most effective manner
  • Monitoring and reporting on medical and welfare requirements
  • Ensuring safety and safeguarding
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for all

Why Choose Cygnet?

  • Opportunities for further training and qualifications
  • Flexible working arrangements with potential for overtime
  • Regular coaching and performance reviews
  • Comprehensive benefits including discounts, health plans, and mental health support

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Driven by a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
  • Sensitive and intuitive, with the energy to create a supportive and engaging environment
  • Committed to empowering individuals and promoting their independence

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced background check.
