About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nuclear Operations and Maintenance Manager to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of site engineers to deliver work packages of examination, inspection, maintenance, testing, and project support for various submarine platforms.
  2. Maintenance Management: Ensure work is undertaken compliantly and in a safe and systematic way in accordance with appropriate business management policies and procedures.
  3. Facility Management: Provide a comprehensive maintenance service for safety-related equipment and non-safety-related equipment under Licensed Site Plant Manager's responsibility.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Interface with the Facility Owner, FPAG Chairman, and Plant Manager Safety Group for all work controls, planning, sub-contract, and material requirements.
  5. Programme Delivery: Collaborate with external departments to deliver a programme of work during facility outage periods.
Requirements
  1. Leadership Skills: Demonstrate leadership skills to 'Lead the Leader' and maintain operational excellence.
  2. Maintenance Experience: Have extensive experience of maintenance management with a multi-disciplined workforce in a safety case environment.
  3. Contractual Knowledge: Demonstrate a complete understanding of contractual and maintenance-related procedures.
  4. Facility Management: Have facility management experience in a safety case environment and be able to show a demonstrable understanding of the Plant/Facility and its operating principles.
  5. Nuclear Experience: Have worked within and held ASQEP or DAP role within a Nuclear Licensed Site.
  6. Qualifications: Hold a HNC (or Equivalent) within Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
