At Babcock International Group, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Technical Operations and Maintenance Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) products.
The Role
- Ensure all documentation required to deliver RWM operations and maintenance products are prepared and supplied in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement suitable processes and training to ensure compliance with related operating instructions.
- Provide professional advice on facility plant and systems, including writing reports and verifying documents.
- Act as a direct line manager for the technical authorship and administrative team.
- Assist the RWM Authorisation Group by providing professional advice on facility plant and systems.
This role is full-time, 35 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience
- Understand and interpret a variety of technical documents and drawings.
- Appreciation, understanding, and experience of working in a regulated environment.
- Appreciation, understanding, and experience of working in industrial areas and associated hazards.
- Technical operations relating to nuclear and radiological activities - desirable.
- Maintenance of facilities and equipment to support industrial activities - desirable.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 5 in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
