We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Compliance and Office Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Compliance and have a background in a regulated financial services or insurance cover holder business.
Key Responsibilities:- Compliance Liaison: Collaborate with external Compliance function to monitor compliance procedures, conduct monthly attestations, and support audit processes.
- Lloyd's Binder Administration: Maintain ongoing communication with the underwriter to ensure seamless administration.
- IT Management: Oversee systems including BACS, LAN, and the company's administration database with IT provider.
- Claims Administration: Serve as the liaison between policyholders, brokers, and underwriters to ensure efficient claims processing.
- Human Resources: Manage training, appraisals, and various HR policies to maintain a positive work environment.
- Customer Communication: Oversee annual customer mailings, coordinate with printers, and secure regulatory approvals to ensure compliance.
- General Office Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations and staff management to ensure smooth business operations.
- Proven experience in compliance, administration, and operations at a management level.
- Desirable background within an FCA and/or highly regulated environments.
- Advanced skills in Excel (or similar software) and data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Deep understanding of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships effectively.
- Approachable, collaborative, and positive attitude.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong organizational, planning, and self-management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Self-motivated, conscientious, and able to manage time effectively.
- The role is office based, in Cranleigh.
- Competitive salary of up to £55k pro rata (higher for candidates with strong FCA/Compliance background).
- Free company parking provided.
- Good pension scheme and company benefits.
- Working hours: 9am - 5pm.
- 4 days per week - Mon - Thurs or Tues - Fri.
